Global Industrial Components (GIC) was founded in 1994 by Gerald Toledo, who began the company by faith in the garage of his family home. From those humble beginnings, GIC has grown into a trusted global supplier of engineered fasteners, precision components, and custom manufacturing solutions serving OEM manufacturers and industrial customers around the world.
As the business expanded, GIC relocated to Woodbury, Tennessee, occupying the former Colonial Shirt Factory building. Despite the challenges of operating from an aging facility, the company continued to grow through an unwavering commitment to quality, exceptional customer service, and dependable supply.
In 2007, GIC’s continued success earned recognition as one of Tennessee’s Hot 100 fastest-growing businesses. Five years later, the company received the Governor’s Award for Trade Excellence, recognizing its achievements in international trade and export growth.
Today, GIC provides a comprehensive range of engineered fasteners, precision metal components, rubber products, castings, stampings, machined parts, and value-added services, including custom kitting, mechanical join accessory packs, flange packs, and light assembly. The company serves a diverse range of industries, including automotive, waterworks, municipal infrastructure, marine, energy, medical and dental, electronics, lawn and garden equipment, heavy equipment, and general industrial manufacturing.
To better support its global customer base, GIC established a trading company in China and expanded its international sales capabilities throughout Latin America.
